Boat Cover Warranty Information
Shoretex Products, Inc. warrants that each of its boat covers are made of top-quality materials and workmanship and are free from defects at the time of manufacture. Normal use, weathering and stains from environmental pollution are not covered under this warranty. This warranty does not cover damage to boat cover or boat in any form from use of this boat cover including but not limited to the following acts: misuse, abuse, neglect, improper boat protection, accidents or acts of God. If minor repairs can return the product to functional use, it will be reworked at no charge, provided the customer prepays freight to and from factory. If the product is beyond repair, the cost of replacement will be determined by subtracting the residual value of the product from the suggested retail price of the new item. *This limited warranty applies to defects in material and workmanship only.
Shoretex Elite, Prism & Travel Tuff Custom Boat Covers
There is a 5-year limited warranty from the date of original purchase. This warranty includes the material and construction of the product.
Solution 7 Semi-Custom Covers
These covers have a pro-rated 3-year limited warranty from the date of original purchase and are not guaranteed to fit any and all boats. Semi-custom orders are purchased upon buyer’s request and their assumption of correct boat style. This warranty includes the material and construction of the product and does not warrant if used for travel.
Bargain Bin/Clearance Boat Covers
These covers are void of manufacturer warranty.
Damage to covers not covered by warranty:
- Tears or rips caused by not padding sharp or obtrusive objects.
- Tears or rips caused by improper securing of boat cover to boat and/or trailer during transportation.
- Allowing water, snow & ice to pool in cover.
- Discoloring or fabric desecration from foreign objects and chemicals. (Including tree saps, petroleum products, bird and animal droppings.)
- Mold and/or mildew caused by storage of wet product.
- Acts of God
All custom boat covers requesting specialized modifications (trolling motor modifications, extra add-ons etc.) and customizations are non-refundable. If for some reason there is a problem, the factory will make every effort to correct the problem.
If order is received in error or defective upon arrival the factory will reimburse the freight provided the product is returned immediately upon recognition of error. Shoretex Products, Inc. will not accept returns without proper authorization from the factory. All refunds will be issued to the credit card originally used for purchase.
This warranty is limited to Shoretex Products replacement boat covers and is not transferable or assignable. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide purchase documentation showing the date of purchase, purchase price and seller. TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM: Contact Shoretex Products, Inc. for a Return Authorization number (RGA). Boat covers will not be accepted without an authorized RGA. Next, return the cover to Shoretex Products, Inc., 1010 Weyrens Rd, Fergus Falls, MN. 56537. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay for shipping expenses.
The limited warranty set forth herein is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied. In no event shall Shoretex Products be liable for damage to a boat, the boat cover or any other incidental or consequential damages. The total liability of Shoretex Products shall be limited to the purchase price of the particular product regardless of whether damages are sought based on breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict liability, tort or any other legal theory.
Shoretex Products, Inc. Replacement Boat Lift Canopy Warranty
Shoretex Products replacement boat lift canopy covers made from Shoretex materials, warrant to the original purchaser, when utilized as a boat lift canopy, when properly installed, will remain in good visual condition and maintain proper function for a minimum period of five years, without failure due to excessive fading or separation, subject to the following terms, provisions and conditions.
Shoretex Products, Inc.’s obligation under this warranty is limited to, at Shoretex’s sole discretion, the repair or replacement of a product found on examination to be defective under normal use and service. Ordinarily Shoretex Products, Inc. will repair the cover if such repair will allow the cover to return to functional use. If deemed necessary, canopy covers within the first two years after the date of manufacture will be replaced without cost other than transportation expense. Should Shoretex Products, Inc. choose to replace a canopy cover following the second year after the date of mfg, Shoretex Products, Inc. may charge the following costs: a) during the third year following date of mfg, Shoretex Products, Inc. will supply a replacement canopy cover at the then prevailing price, less a rebate of 60% of said price; b) during the fourth year following the date of mfg, Shoretex Products, Inc. will supply a replacement canopy cover at the then prevailing price, less a rebate of 40% of said price; c) during the fifth year following date of mfg, Shoretex Products, Inc. will supply a replacement canopy cover at the then prevailing price, less a rebate of 20% of said price. No rebate or replacement will be made on a warranty claim after the fifth year following the date of shipment.
This warranty will only cover canopy covers that have been properly installed on and seasonally removed from the boat lift frame. A canopy cover will not be deemed defective as a result of damage attributed to improper installation of the canopy cover, distortion of the frame upon which the canopy cover is mounted, a failure to seasonally remove and maintain the canopy cover, misuse, abuse, neglect, negligence, chemically induced degradation, fireworks, accidents or acts of God, including excessive wind. Canopy cover fabrics will naturally fade and deteriorate over time with exposure to the sun, wind and other elements. A canopy cover will not be deemed to be defective as a result of normal wear and tear based on the conditions to which the canopy cover is exposed. Minor pinholes are to be expected and will not be deemed a defect. Fading and deterioration of materials will be deemed a defect only if the fading or deterioration is in excess of industry accepted tolerances. Discoloration as a result of environmental pollution, cleaning or other chemicals, or a failure to properly clean, dry and store the canopy cover is not covered under this warranty.
Please Note: Any adjustments, additions and alterations (including side skirt & extensions) are done so per request and are void of the Shoretex boat lift canopy warranty and are non-refundable. Possible wind damage may result from the added extensions and skirts (due to surface area). Careful consideration must be taken into account prior to ordering. Shoretex is not responsible for any damage to canopy, boat lift, boat, skirting or property as a result of using this product.
